Andy's athletic career began at the age of 16 when he met his first love Martial arts. For the next ten years Andy's world became the sports of Tae Kwon Do, boxing, and sword fighting. A preventable knee injury cut short his competitive years and Andy began to focus more on the teaching path. Leading junior classes and leading the adult class warm up, stretch, and cool down provided the spark that Andy needed to decide on his future career in the fitness field.

After graduation Andy landed an internship with Sports Specific Training Canada. This led to employment with the company where he rose to the position of Evening Manager. Here he oversaw the assessment and program design for both high school and pro athletes from varied sports such as hockey, football, distance running, baseball, soccer, and mixed martial arts. While at S.S.T he also had the opportunity to lead private personal training and a Woman's group fitness class.

At this time Andy also worked for group exercise style company. Andy felt that the exercise programming was unsafe so he decided to run his own class, combining an effective fat loss class with a safer more individualized approach. "I got tired of seeing injuries that should not have happened."

Andy stays on the cutting edge by investing in his education. He does this by attending seminars and workshops, reading at least 1 hour a day, and participating in a weekly study group with fellow health professionals from various fields. Andy's desire to stand among the best in his field drives his lifelong learning process. In his spare time Andy volunteers with youth to try to bring back some fitness to the post internet generation.

Whether you want to shave time off your 5k, experience life changing weight loss, or improve your posture Andy has the expertise, the experience, and the energy to help you surpass your goals.
