  • Fit Squad Training Gym is fantastic! The equipment is always clean and well-kept, with everything you need for a great workout. The atmosphere is positive and motivating, never intimidating, which makes it easy to stay consistent. I’ve seen real progress since joining and couldn’t be happier with my experience here. Highly recommend!

  • Hands down, one of the best gyms in Toronto. Customer service and response time is top notch. It’s clean, quiet, everyone minds their own business but if you need help the folks are always around. You can leave indoor shoes on site, towels are provided, clean showers, and change rooms. You’re paying for excellent gym equipment and it really shows they take care of everything.

    Purnima M.

  • Amazing gym with every piece of equipment you want! They also listen to feedback and implement asap! Love to see it and not surprised by all the reviews!

  • 6 months of training at FitSquad in the books. The gym has nearly everything you could need: tons of squat racks, specialty bars, grips, and handles, lots of dumbbells and kettlebells, several benches, calisthenics and turf areas as well as a great lineup of Atlantis, Prime Fitness and Rogue machines. The gym has a small community feel and is indeed never crowded, the way they intended.

    Matthew V.

  • FitSquad has been such a great switch, and I wish I did it years ago. As someone who strictly sticks to weight lifting equipment, this gym is perfect. I go at "rush hour" post work and not once have had to wait for a piece of equipment since joining the gym a couple months ago. It's a clean, organized gym with all the things you need.

  • I've been training at Fit Squad for a while now, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. One of the biggest standout features for me is the availability of equipment — no matter what time of day I go, I never have to wait to use anything. The gym is spacious, well-organized, and always ready for a great workout.

  • I recently discovered this gym in Downtown Toronto - and it's truly a hidden gem. The space is beautifully maintained, and the sense of community here is rare — supportive, friendly, and motivating.

  • I've been going to fitsquad for a month and I like the gym a lot. I have an off-peak hours membership and been going almost every day. I had a goodlife membership nearby before this and the switch was worth it. The equipment is very very nice, there are not that many people at the gym...

  • Fit Squad is hands down the best gym I’ve been to. The equipment is top-of-the-line and clearly chosen with serious training in mind. Every area is spotless and well-maintained. Whether you’re lifting, doing functional training, or just looking for a well-organized, high-quality space to work out, they deliver.

    Vivek R.

  • FitSquad is a one-of-a-kind strength training gym — quiet, personal, and incredibly well-run. The trainers and owners are genuinely engaged and care about your progress and the space they have created. I love the flexibility of the off-peak membership. Easily the best training environment in Toronto. World-class.

  • I’ve been a member at Fit Squad for almost a year now, and it’s hands down one of the best gyms in the city. The equipment selection is top-tier—very few gyms in the area carry Atlantis and Prime machines... You absolutely get what you pay for: premium equipment, a clean and well-maintained facility, and a training environment that’s never overcrowded.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Who is Fit Squad best suited for?

Fit Squad is built for people who take their training seriously. If you’re looking for a premium strength training gym with top-of-the-line equipment, a focused community, and space to train without the crowds, this is where you belong.

What makes Fit Squad different from other gyms?

We focus on 3 main things: a) no crowds, so you that you always have access to the equipment you need, b) curated top-of-the-line equipment, c) access to world-class coaching in different formats

How much does your gym membership cost?

Memberships at our downtown Toronto gym range from $120 biweekly for our off-peak membership to $180 biweekly for our full access membership.

We also offer gym memberships with individualized programming by a designated coach as well as personal training.

Why is Fit Squad more expensive than most other gyms?

Most gyms set low prices to sell as man memberships as possible. This leads to overcrowded spaces and worn-down equipment that wasn't great to begin with.

We do the opposite. We invest in a wider range of high-quality equipment and have strict 300 membership cap, so that you'll always have access to the tools you need — without the wait.

Do memberships require any commitment?

Not at all. By default all our memberships are fully flexible, meaning you can cancel them at any time before your next charge.

If you want to benefit from lower prices or pay upfront, we have 6 and 12-months options available.

Do you offer drop-ins or 1-day passes?

Unfortunately not. We carefully balance the interests of our long-standing members and short-term guests to provide best training experience for both.

For visitors or people who want to train with us occasionally we offer 1-week full access or 10-visits off-peak access passes.

A GYM BUILT FOR ALL KINDS OF TRAINING

Strength training

With 9 squat racks, 2 competition bench press stations, deadlift platforms, multi-grip pull up stations, plate-loaded machines, selectorized machines, and about 10,000lbs worth of weight plates, dumbbells and kettlebells, and a ton of accessories, Fit Squad is the best place in Toronto to get strong.

Bodybuilding

Fit Squad is the best gym for bodybuilding training in downtown Toronto. We have wide range of upper and lower body machines by top brands, including Atlantis, Prime, Nautilus that we maintain in top notch condition. We carry plenty of compound and isolation machines, lots of specialized handles and attachments and offer a range of cardio equipment.

Hyrox

With a 90 foot long runway of turf, multiple sleds, a rope for rope pulls, a ski erg, a rowing machine, a curve treadmill, kettlebells, sandbags, and wallballs, the Fit Squad gym is a great place to train for Hyrox in Toronto.

Gymnastics training

Fit Squad might just be the only gym in downtown Toronto that is equipped for gymnastics style strength training. The facility is equipped with Stall Bars, two large pull up rigs, a dip station, 2 sets of Olympic rings, a smaller turf area just for ground-based work, chalk, and paralettes.

Muscle building

With an extensive free weight section and wide array of top-of-the-line machines for both compound movements (eg: hack squat, pendulum squat, plate-loaded chest press, plate loaded row) and isolation exercises (eg: pec fly, preacher curl, seated leg extension, seated leg curl) Fit Squad is very well optimized for packing on muscle. We also have 2 functional trainers, a heavy cable tower and some Prime Fitness machines that allow you to overload certain parts of the range of motion.

Overall fitness

Our goal is to provide you with everything you need to achieve an impressive levels of fitness, no matter the specific path you want to take. To that end, we offer a curated state-of-the-art blend of different kinds of equipment and training areas, including machines, free weights, gymnastics, conditioning and cardio equipment as well as wide range of specialized accessories. Even further, we constantly add new pieces of equipment and improve the facility in other ways.

Crossfit

Fit Squad is fully equipped for almost any Crossfit workout. 45, 35, 25lbs bars, axel bars, farmer's carry handles, 2–120 lbs dumbbells, most in multiple pairs, 8–48 kg kettlebells, also in multiple pairs, several pull up rigs of different heights, wallballs and wallball targets, light to heavy sandbags, high and low gymnastics rings, olympic weightlifting platform, plenty of squat racks, 90 ft turf with multiple sleds, Assault Runner, Rower, Bike and Ski ergs by Concept 2, Echo bike by Rogue and more. The only real limitation is height of the ceiling, which doesn't allow us to hang full-length climbing rope. But you can still do your bar and ring muscle ups.

Athletic training

Fit Squad is a phenomenal place for athletic training. Our 90 x 15 foot runway of grid-iron turf is by far the largest in downtown Toronto. It lends itself very well to sled work, loaded carries, and athletic drills. We also have 2 functional trainers, 1 of which is a Nautilus Freedom Trainer that allows you to setup the cables at virtually any angle or configuration.

Body recomposition

In addition to aligning your nutrition, increasing your daily activity level and making important lifestyle changes, fat loss involves building muscle and increasing your caloric expenditure. In addition to having all the tools you’ll ever need to build muscle, Fit Squad also has an entire area dedicated to metabolic conditioning. This area consists of a 90 foot strip of turf, sleds for sled pushes and sled pulls, a curved treadmill, a 40-degree incline treadmill, a rowing machine, a ski erg, an erg bike, and an assault bike.

Powerlifting

Although we have some great Rogue monster squat racks, 2 Rogue Westside Bench Press Stations, 2 Deadlift Rogue platforms, Rogue Ohio Power bars, a ton of plates, and chalk, we wouldn’t call ourselves a powerlifting gym. The Fit Squad gym is a great place to train your squat, deadlift and bench press. That being said, if you’re a competitive powerlifter there are things you would likely be missing for your training and prep. This includes calibrated steel plates as well as a competition combo rack.

Weightlifting

Although we are not an Olympic weightlifting gym, we do have an Eleiko Olympic lifting platform as well as Rogue Olympic lifting bars and bumper plates. At most times, you’ll have the Olympic lifting platform to yourself. We also have some machines that Olympic lifters tend to value such as a Rogue reverse hyper and a Rogue GHD (Glute Ham Developer).
